Empresa Distribuidora y Comercializadora Norte S.A. (Edenor) is the largest electricity distribution company in Argentina in terms of number of customers and electricity sold (both in GWh and Pesos). At December 31st, 2024 we have the highest number of customers in the country, which amounts over 3,34 million, and our energy purchases represent 20% of the country’s overall energy demand in 2024. 

The company holds a concession to distribute electricity exclusively in the northwestern zone of the greater Buenos Aires metropolitan area and the northern part of the city of Buenos Aires, which has a population of approximately 9 million people and an area of 4,637 sq. km.

In 2024, Edenor sold 22,726 GWh of energy and purchased 26,827 GWh of energy.

Edenor operates in a highly regulated environment. Our tariffs and the other terms of our concession are subject to regulation by the Argentine government, acting through the Secretariat of Energy reporting to the Ministry of Finance and to the Argentine National Electricity Regulator (ENRE).
