Board of Directors

The direction and administration of business and affairs are managed by our Board of Directors in accordance with our bylaws and the Argentine Corporations Law. Our bylaws provide that our Board of Directors will consist of twelve directors and up to the same number of alternate directors. Pursuant to the Argentine Corporations Law, most of, many of our directors must be Argentina’s residents.

Directors and alternate directors serve through indefinitely renewable periods. Our directors and alternate directors are as follows:

Diego Martín Salaverri | President | 2021 (Class A)

Diego Martin Salaverri, was born on August 7, 1964. He graduated from Law in 1988 at the Argentine Catholic University, Buenos Aires. He is a founding partner of the Salaverri studio | Burgio | Wetzler Malbrán, and specializes in mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, corporate law, capital markets, and corporate finance.

Throughout his professional career, he has been distinguished on numerous occasions for his professional merits in international publications such as Chambers, Latin Lawyer and International Financial Law Review, among others.

He served as a foreign attorney at Brown & Wood, New York - currently Sidley Austin.

German Wetzler | Vice President | 2021 (Class A)
María Carolina Sigwald | Regular Director | 2021 (Class A)

Carolina Sigwald was born on November 15, 1967. She started her professional career as a lawyer in Central Puerto after its privatization and then joined Chadbourne & Parke in New York and later the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) in Washington. Carolina returned to Argentina in 1998 as founding partner of Díaz Bobillo, Sigwald & Vittone Law Firm where she performed as external advisor for energy companies, Pampa Energia among them. Before joining Pampa, between 2015 and 2017, she was edenor’s Legal and Regulatory Affairs Director. Likewise, at present she is a member of TGS and Telefónica de Argentina’s´Board of Directors.

Mrs. Sigwald obtained her law degree in the University of Buenos Aires, where she graduated with honors.

María José Wuille Bille | Regular Director | 2021 (Class A) (1)

María José Wuille Bille was born on August 11, 1959. She graduated from the Teaching Staff of English at the Universidad Católica Argentina and has a postgraduate degree in Management in Nonprofit Organizations at the Universidad de San Andrés. She currently serves as a Member of the International Board of MSIF (International Sclerosis Federation and is Director of International Relations of Fundación INECO.

Carlos Perez Bello | Regular Director | 2021 (Class A) (1)

Born on September 19, 1954, he works as an independent consultant in the reconversion and management of SMEs, previously, he exercised managerial functions in the business and finance area of multinational companies and SMEs in Argentina and Brazil.

He is a National Public Accountant graduated from the University of Belgrano (UB), he has a master's degree in Business Administration from the Instituto de Altos Estudios Empresariales - Business School of the Austral University and a Postgraduate Degree in Agribusiness from the Buenos Aires University (UBA).

Member of the Commission for Innovation and Competitiveness Studies of CPCECABA and of the Support Network of the Centro Entrepreneur de Naves IAE of the Austral University.

Carlos Alberto Iglesias | Regular Director | 2021 (Class A) (1)

Mr. Carlos Alberto Iglesias was born in February 5th 1956. He has significant experience in the financial sector of national and international companies. Between 2002 and 2016 he performed as Director of the Investment Banking sector at Raymond James in Argentina. Previously he worked in the investment banking sector at ING Argentina, also as finance manager at SAMPA (IRSA holding), consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton. He was member of the association for the acquisition of ENTel with Bell Atlantic y Manufacturers Hanover. He held a chief position at the Secretary of Industry and Foreign trade and financial analyst at SOCMA.

Mr. Iglesias obtained bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of Buenos Aires and a sociology degree at Belgrano University.

Hernán Ferrera | Regular Director | 2021 (Class B/C) (1)

Hernan Ferrera. Born in October 1959. He has a degree in Sociology from the University of Buenos Aires and an Electrotechnical from the Escuela Técnica N ° 9 Ingeniero Luis Huergo. He has a history of more than 10 years in various technical areas, among which he has the role of manager of operational management, purchasing and logistics as well as the implementation and parameterization of different computer supports with vast experience in the systematization of methodology for the ISO 9002. He has also devoted himself to undergraduate and graduate teaching at various Universities.

Federico Bernal | Regular Director | 2021 (Clase B/C) (1)

Federico Bernal. Born in June 1974. He is a biochemist and biotechnologist from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), specialized in Industrial Microbiology. He has a varied trajectory in energy matters; He is also the author of books and publications on this subject.

He is currently the Comptroller of the National Gas Regulatory Entity and is a member of the boards of the following companies: Transener S.A, Edesa Holding S.A, Edesal Holding S.A; in addition to EDENOR S.A

Juan Santiago Fraschina | Regular Director | 2021 (Class B/C) (1)

Juan Santiago Fraschina, is an economist graduated from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He has a Master's Degree in Economic Sociology (UNSAM) and a Master's Degree in Economic History and Economic Policies (UBA).

He served as the Coordinator of Proximity Commerce of the Secretary of Commerce, and was Vice Superintendent of Insurance of the Nation.

He is a professor at the University of Buenos Aires, the National University of Lomas de Zamora and the University of Morón. He is currently Secretary General of Anses, and is part of the boards of EDENOR S.A., Pampa Energía, and Ternium Argentina.

Benjamín Navarro | Regular Director | 2021 (Class B/C) (1)

Benjamin Navarro, born in December 1978, has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires. He worked in the energy sector and in the insurer.

He has a trajectory of more than 10 years in various areas and portfolios of the state, among which is the role of senior analyst in the Secretary of Energy, in the Secretary of Economic Policy, etc.

He was in charge of the Statistics Management of the Superintendency of Insurance of the Nation, he was Deputy General Manager of Emprendimientos Energéticos Binacionales S.A. He is currently Director of Corporate Affairs Management of the Guarantee and Sustainability Fund, and in turn is an alternate director of the companies Distribuidora Gas Cuyana, Naturgy Ban, as well as in Edenor. He has also devoted himself to university teaching.

Leandro Carlos Montero | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class A)

Mr. Montero has been a member of our board of directors since 2012. He is edenor’s Chief Financial Officer and previously served in the investment group of Pampa Energía S.A. Prior to joining Edenor in 2008, Mr. Montero held various positions in the Administration and Finance areas of Pampa Energía and Petrobras Argentina S.A., both public and SEC-listed companies. Mr. Montero worked at Ernst & Young - Pistrelli, Henry Martin y Asociados in the Advisory and Auditing Divisions.

Mr. Montero holds a degree in Public Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires, and a Master degree in Business Administration and a Postgraduate course in Senior Management from the Instituto de Altos Estudios Empresariales (IAE), school of business of the Universidad Austral.

Daniel Eduardo Flaks | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class A)

Daniel Flaks has been member of edenor’s Board of Directors since 2012. At present, he is edenor’s Technical Director. He joined the company in 1993. Between 1993 and 2003, he served as departmental head and Deputy manager for the San Justo and Olivos’ regions. Between 2003 and 2006 he held the position of Business Manager and afterwards as Operations Manager for the Olivos and Pilar regions.  Between 2006 and 2010, he served as Distribution Manager and was in charge of the direction, coordination and control of technical and commercial operations of the company relating to the operation of high, medium and low-tension plants, control centers and commercial operations related mainly to the customer service area and the relationship with municipal authorities and the ENRE. Between 1993 and 1998 he was adjunct professor for the electric energy systems lecture in the National University of Technology (UTN).

Mr. Flaks has a degree in electrical engineering issued by National University of Technology (UTN and holds an MBA issued by the Salvador University in Argentina.

Eduardo Abel Maggi | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class A)

Eduardo Maggi was born on December 31st, 1955.  

Mr. Maggi was appointed edenor’s Operations Management in 2001. At present, he is director at SACME, which is responsible for the high-tension network operation in the Metropolitan Area of Greater Buenos Aires as well as for the coordination, control of supervision of the generation, transmission and sub transmission in the city of Buenos Aires. Previously he acted as District Director for two of edenor’s operations zones: San Martín and Morón. He started his career in the Company as Technical Director. He holds an Engineer degree issued by the National University of Technology (UTN) and a master degree in Business Administration issued by Salvador University and Deusto University in Spain.

Gerardo Tabakman | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class A)

Gerardo Tabakman was born on January 22nd, 1975. He has been acting as Customer Service Director as from November 2017. He had been edenor’s IT and Telecommunications Director since April 2012. Between September 2011 and April 2012, he acted as Manager for these departments. Likewise, Mr. Tabakman was Pampa Energia’s Systems Manager from February 2008 to September 2011 and Accenture’s Manager from June 1997 to February 2008.

He holds a degree in Business Administration issued by the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) and a master degree of the Executive Development Program of the IAE Business School.  

Mariana De La Fuente | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class A)

Mariana de la Fuente, born on December 5, 1968. She has a degree in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires and an MBA from the Management Development Program of the Instituto de Altos Estudios Empresariales (IAE) of the Austral University.

She is currently Edenor's Human Resources Director since July 2014.

Previously, he served as Human Resources Manager of EDEN (Empresa Distribuidora Norte Energía SA), a company that was part of Pampa Energía since 2011. Since 1990, he has held various positions related to human resources in several multinational companies, including Monsanto, Cerveceria Quilmes, Cabot and Abertis.

María Josefina Grosso | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class B/C) (1)

Maria Josefina Grosso. She has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, a Master in Economics and Industrial Development with a Specialization in SMEs at the National University of General Sarmiento and a Master in Journalism at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella - Diario La Nación. She works at the Secretariat for Economic Policy (Undersecretary for Microeconomic Programming) of the Ministry of the Economy. With more than 15 years of experience, specialized in productive development and public policies for industrial and service sectors, with experience in leading work teams and coordinating projects for the analysis of industrial and service sectors and their value chains and senior consultant of the program of sector tables of the Ministry of Production and Labor, a public-private coordination space for the consensus of work agendas aimed at improving the competitiveness and internationalization of the different productive sectors. She is currently part of the EDENOR Board of Directors.

Diego Rozengardt | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class B/C) (1)

Diego Rozengardt. Born in July 1979. He has a degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires. He worked in banking, solidarity finance, and tax offices. He has a track record of more than 10 years in various areas and State portfolios, including the role of senior analyst in the Secretariat of Economic Policy and in the Commission for Planning and Strategic Coordination of the National Plan for Hydrocarbon Investments. He was in charge of the Downstream Directorate in the National Energy Secretariat, as well as the Biofuels Directorate. He is currently the National Director of Regional and Sector Studies of the Ministry of Economy and is part of the boards of the Distribuidora de Gas Cuyana companies and the Compañía de Transporte de Energía Eléctrica en Alta Tensión Transener S.A., in addition to EDENOR. He has also dedicated himself to advising projects of Civil Society Organizations and teaching undergraduate and graduate degrees at various National Universities.

Emilse Alejadra Juarez | Alternate Director | 2021 (Class B/C) (1)

Emilse Alejandra Juarez. Born in February 1985. Degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, Master in Public Policies for development with social inclusion from the University of FLACSO. She is a specialist in Social Economy.

She is a university professor of Microeconomics in the Bachelor's Degree in Economics at UNDAV (National University of Avellaneda)

She currently coordinates the Economic-Financial Area of ​​the Directorate of Management of Corporate Affairs, Executive Sub-Directorate of Operation of the FGS (ANSES).

She previously developed tasks as an Economic Analyst in the Technical and Administrative Coordination of the General Secretariat of ANSES. She took part as assistant and coordinator in multiple projects of the Undersecretary of Entrepreneurs of the Ministry of Production of the Nation, among which are: UNDP PROJECT 16/004 "Program to Strengthen the Development of Social and Cultural Systemic Conditions for Entrepreneurship" and PROJECT UNDP ARG 11/018 "Mipc Program for Productive Development Phase II"

She also worked in the Civil Association Our Huellas, Boulogne, Province of Buenos Aires as Coordinator of Community Banks

She is a Deputy Director of the following companies: Edenor, Naturgy Ban, TGS and Distribuidora Gas Cuyana.
